Description
Sumidera 169 – Product Description
Sumidera 169 is a water-based graphite forging lubricant developed for chipless metal forming applications. It forms a durable lubricating film that prevents metal from adhering to dies and tools while significantly reducing friction. The product has been specially engineered for applications involving long metal flow paths, ensuring improved material flow and superior surface quality.
Sumidera 169 is an aqueous graphite dispersion formulated with carefully selected additives. Its excellent wetting properties allow it to spread evenly over hot tooling, providing reliable lubrication at operating temperatures of up to +1400°C. In addition to forging applications, it is also suitable for roll lubrication in rolling mill processes, where it helps reduce friction and wear, extend equipment life, and improve production efficiency.
Features & Benefits:

How to use Sumidera 169 lubricant
Sumidera 169 is usually diluted with water in a ratio of 1:5 to 1:15.
In special cases, such as damaged and cracked surfaces, temporary accumulation of the active substance is reasonable.
The lubricant-water-alloy must be constantly stirred to prevent the precipitation of graphite particles.
The application of the prepared mixture can be done using a brush, a manual spray or an automatic spray device.
